The motto reads,

“My son, while your life’s in the making,
Prepare for the work you will do;
Consider each road you …”

Below the motto is the poet’s name, Isdor Schneider. Reading the motto SON, you would not believe that Isidor Schneider became very radical during the Great Depression. His poetry summoned working class people to demand their rights and take a place in the social scene.

Lucky for us, Schneider wrote SON during an earlier time in his life, and Buckbee Brehm published this glorious motto.
